Intellect VCS Terms of Use
Intellect Self-Care App Service Subscribed by Viriya Community Services
Viriya Community Services (VCS) is partnering with INTELLECT COMPANY PTE. LTD., a company that provides a self-care mobile app, to offer you an Intellect self-care app user account subscribed by VCS (the “Account”).
You should only use the Account for your personal self-care and cannot misuse the Account. You cannot sell or transfer any aspect of the Account or share with anyone else the login credentials of the Account. You cannot use the Account to
do anything unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent. You must be at least 18 years old to use Intellect self-care app. Your usage of the app is also bound by the Terms and Conditions of INTELLECT COMPANY PTE. LTD., which you can review in your Intellect self-care app.
VCS assumes no liability or responsibility for the services and features offered by INTELLECT COMPANY PTE. LTD., or any personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to the Intellect self-care app, even if you access them through VCS. VCS reserves the right to modify this Terms of Use Agreement (the “Agreement”) at any time for any reason. VCS will notify you regarding any changes.
Pre- and Post-Use Survey
Before you begin using the Account, you are invited to complete a pre-use online survey form which will be provided to you by the VCS Staff. The survey will collect information such as your basic demographics (e.g., age, education level) and baseline well-being level.
Upon the termination of the Account, you will be invited to complete a post-use online survey form which will be provided to you by VCS. The survey will collect information relating to your experience with the Account and your updated well-being level. The purpose of the post-use survey is to gather feedback of the Account and its effectiveness in managing users’ mental wellbeing.
Your participation in the surveys is voluntary. Declining participation in the surveys will NOT affect your eligibility to receive any services from VCS including the Account. The information you enter into the surveys will be stored securely in VCS and kept until 31st December 2023. Your individual responses in the surveys, including scales used to measure your well-being level, will be shared with the VCS Staff and VCS research team. Please send a written request to the VCS Staff if you would like VCS to delete your survey entries. Deletion of your survey entries will NOT affect your eligibility to
receive any services from VCS including usage of the Account. VCS will take at least 30 days to confirm deletion of your information.
Inputs and Journal Entries in Intellect App
Your inputs and data in the app, including registration information and psychometric responses, are securely stored with Intellect in compliance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Intellect keeps your personal data only for as long as required by Intellect to provide you with the Intellect self-care app, to comply with other law, or to support a claim or defence in court.
If you would like to know more about Intellect’s Privacy Policy, you may obtain Intellect’s FAQ from the VCS Staff. Intellect securely encrypts your journal entries in the app and only you have the encryption key to access them. Neither Intellect nor VCS has the key to access your journal entries. As such it is important that you back up the encryption key if you want access to your past journal entries when migrating the app to a new device or reinstalling the app on the same

I am at least 18 years old and have read, understood, and will fully accept the terms of use as stated. I fully understand and agree that the personal information which I have provided may be disclosed to other agencies or individuals for the purpose(s) stated. I trust that the information will strictly be used for the purpose(s) stated.
